Best Recruitment Strategies

In today’s landscape, it’s not enough to have the right amount of employees to get the job done. You need the best. While the greatest employees may seem elusive, hiring the best with recruitment strategies may help you. Here are some recruitment strategies to help you find a promising talent pool.

Use Social Media

Social media is often one of the first places a potential hire looks for employment. Those who really want the best use all of their tools – and social media is a great one. Share your best stories that create engagement. Answer to conversations from your readers. And showcase your company’s values. Don’t be afraid to be funny, as long as it’s tasteful and current. Going viral is often a great boost for a company.

Another good idea is using videos. Those can be placed in a number of places like YouTube, Facebook, Tik Tok, and more.

And don’t just use a polished video that you spent a lot of money on. Sure, these are nice. But what about using quotes and stories from real employees? This gives potential candidates a look at why others like working at your company.

In-Person Hiring Fairs and Events

If possible, in-person hiring events allow you to get to know a person better. This typically brings in more people to fulfil your hiring needs. If you’re a larger company, this is a great way to source new talent, and allow you each to get a feel for the partnership.

You can use school recruitment days, job fairs, etc to find a lot of applicants in a short period of time.

Make It Fun

Not everyone can interview in-person right now, and plenty of jobs have remote employees anyway. If you can’t interview face to face, there are other innovative things you can do. One thing is gamification. This is where you use common gaming rules to design to simulate job tasks and test the candidate’s ability to complete them. You can incorporate task-reward conventions to measure the candidate’s engagement and performance.

You can make the levels harder as they go, do just one test, or create whatever works for you. It’s not only fun for the potential employee, but it gives you insight into what they can complete in job tasks.

Don’t Forget the Past

Sometimes you can take some of the stress out and engage with past candidates and boomerang employees. Just because someone wasn’t the right fit six months ago doesn’t mean they may not be the right fit now. Plus, you can weed out your old applicants if they are no longer interested.
