Help your employees work safe and keep on track while maintaining best practices for good employee employer relationships.
-Employee temporary tele-commuting Agreement with hours, breaks, expenses, reimbursement rules
-Log to Track Equipment Provided – Scheduled work days and work hours
-Timekeeping method (use timesheets to track employee time as you normally would for nonexempt)
-Utilize video conferencing and communication tools like Skype, Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
Your agreement will want to contain: Employee At Will status, its Temporary and onsite will resume with 7, 10, 30 days’ notice or can resume at any time, regular communications expectations i.e., meeting every morning at X or M-W-F, regular Employment policies and procedures apply, data security and confidentiality apply (so private conversations when working not in front of family, closing computer when done, keeping confidentiality and reporting any workers injuries that might occur while working.
Don’t panic if employees are home already and you don’t have one yet do it right. The old saying better late than never applies. You’re doing your best. We’ve never had a situation like this before its all being done on a best as we can, good faith effort at this point!
